This scholarship by the Egyptian government offers a valuable opportunity for Malaysian students to pursue undergraduate studies at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, in the fields of Islamic sciences, Arabic language, and selected scientific disciplines.

For the 2025/2026 academic year, 34 scholarships are available for Islamic studies and four (4) scholarships for scientific and theoretical fields. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, on-campus accommodation, a monthly stipend, medical care, and access to research facilities. Non-Arabic speakers will also receive a complimentary Arabic language course.
